Application Developer Tools

The Motorola DEVPlatform for the OpenCable™ Application Platform (OCAP™) supports the development and debugging of OCAP applications (xlets) on Motorola OCAP-enabled set-tops.

DEVPlatform for OCAP provides an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) based on Eclipse, as well as simulation tools, including a Windows PC-based Set-Top Simulator and an MPEG Transport Stream (TS) Section Generator.

Using DEVPlatform for OCAP, developers can write, compile, load, debug and run OCAP applications on both the Simulator and the Motorola OCAP set-top environments.
