While I was in the air on my way to CES this afternoon, Motorola put out another release, this one announcing work with the new MLB Network. Baseball fans know the MLB Network launched only a few short days ago on January 1st. The programmer is using Motorola’s modular uplink system and integrated receiver/decoders to broadcast games and original content 24 hours a day.

Today’s news is the latest in a long list of recent Motorola announcements regarding new programmer customers. Starting last year with HBO, Motorola has racked up Starz, Showtime, and FOX as users of its satellite receivers and encoding equipment. According to today’s press release, “more programmers in North America deploy Motorola satellite video delivery network solutions than any other solution.”
