Thanks to CableFAX for once again voting this Motorola blog as a finalist for the CableFAX Best Blog award. Sadly, we didn’t win. But I feel content knowing that the winner this year was Anthony Bourdain’s Blog (Congratulations to Bourdain, of the show No Reservations), and that our fellow runner-up was the Mad Men blog from AMC. I consider that good company.
Meanwhile, Motorola did have a winner at today’s event. A Motorola video on GPON (!) won a CableFAXIE for Best Use of Video or Moving Image.
And finally, the folks at CableFAX snuck in a surprise at the end of the award ceremony. To honor John Solberg of FX who won for PR Executive of the Year, Denis Leary made an unexpected guest appearance. If you haven’t seen Leary in the show Rescue Me, set your DVR for the show’s return in Jun 29th. It’s well worth the time.
