November 15, 2011 : BY Motorola

Today, Motorola Mobility’s chairman and CEO Sanjay Jha took the stage with Cox Communication’s president Pat Esser to kick off SCTE’s annual conference, Cable-TEC Expo in Atlanta, Ga.

Sanjay’s opening remarks focused on the converged experience and how Motorola Mobility is not just a set-top box company, but one that provides a customized user experience via software and services. He goes on to say that converging wireless and home services are a “bucking bronco” and that it changes every three months, creating new opportunities for cable providers.

Sanjay also mentioned five times more people are watching content on mobile devices than a year ago. He continues stating that looking forward, personal devices will become increasingly important to consumers, and consumers will expect more computing power.

According to SCTE president and CEO Mark Dzuban, overall registration for the show is higher than last year and operators are now sending more of their decision makers to attend.  More updates from the show to come soon!
